Drinking Around the World at Epcot

Drinking Around the World at Epcot

There are already a million blogs out there about drinking around the world at Epcot and the best way to do it. So I’m not going to claim to be an expert or have all the tips + tricks, BUT I do want to share our experience and give our ratings on the drinks we got!

We got tickets to Epcot as an early Christmas gift and were so excited to drink around the world. I did it once a few years ago with my coworkers, but Sam had never been. Since it was December, the International Festival of the Holidays was ongoing, which meant we had even more options for our food and drink in each country. We stuck to the normal offerings for the most part, but tried a few of the holiday themed options along the way!

There’s a lot of differing opinions out there in terms of which order to go in, but we stuck with Canada first and Mexico last. I enjoyed this route but almost wish we didn’t save the margaritas for last. I would even consider hopping around and going out of order…

The best recommendation I read beforehand was to split drinks in each country, so you aren’t spending a ton of money and filling your bellies too early. I was really glad we did this (in most countries) because it allowed us to keep going without tapping out early.

Without further ado, here are our official ratings for our drinks around the world!

Canada Pavillion

canada
Maple sugar cookie blonde: 7/10
Banana peanut butter porter: 6/10

Canada is admittedly not my favorite pavilion because it seems kind of boring (sorrey!) But the two 5oz beers and holiday maple cake were a nice, easy start to our journey.

UK Pavillion

United Kingdom
blacksmith beer: 7.5/10

I really want to visit the UK, so I love seeing the buildings and pub here. Due to COVID, people weren't allowed to stay inside the pub but instead had to order then head outside. Luckily it was a beautiful day, so no biggie! The Blacksmith is a super popular mix of Guinness and Smithwick.

Grand Marnier Slush in France

France
grand marnier orange slush: 8.2/10

We had a hell of a time tracking down this drink (we had heard it was delicious), but finally located the kiosk after standing in two different & incorrect lines. It's actually extremely easy to spot if you use your eyeballs. We also were lucky enough to each enjoy our own drink because new friends we made in line bought them for us! Score.

White Wine Sangria in Morroco

Morocco
white wine sangria: 8.2/10

We had a very enjoyable time in Morocco. It's a small pavilion with a peaceful alley tucked away from all the craziness. Again, a lot of stuff was closed so many people didn't wander back, so we spent a good amount of time enjoying the quiet and beauty. The white wine sangria was sold at a small counter back towards the alley and only had the option for 2 for $20, so we each got our own!

Sushi & Blackberry Sake Mist in Japan Pavillion

Japan
blackberry sake mist: 7.6/10

We waited forever in line at the kiosk in Japan to get this Blackberry Sake Mist and small sushi snack, but they were worth it. We were bummed that the sake bar in the back of the Mitsukoshi Department Store was closed due to COVID, but still really enjoyed our drink here.

Beer in USA

USA
shiner ruby red bird: 7/10

We were ready for a beer after all the recent sweet drinks, so this was a good break. To no surprise, the USA pavilion is just eh, but the BBQ restaurant did smell amazing.

Limoncello Cocktail in Italy

italy
limoncello cocktail: 6.4/10

Not gonna lie, we were pretty disappointed by this one. I've never had limoncello but judging by this drink, I don't think I'm a big fan. There's apparently a wine bar tucked in the back of the Italy pavilion that may be worthwhile for a change of pace.

Cheese Fondue & Beer in Germany

Germany
dopplebock beer: 7.6/10

I think the Germany pavilion is my second favorite, which is also probably since Sam and I want to visit in real life. The beer was average but the cheese fondue (at the holiday cart) was to. die. for. We needed that cheese & bread by this point.

China & Norway

By this point, it was starting to get dark and we were kind of tired (super lame). There wasn't anything in the China or Norway pavilions that stood out for us to want, so we just walked through and skipped the drinks/snacks.

Avocado Margarita in Mexico

Mexico
avocado margarita: 8.1/10

This drink came highly recommended by a few, so we headed inside the pyramid to Cava del Tequila to get this gem. We admittedly rated it too harshly on Instagram... and actually really enjoyed it. It was creamy, a good amount of sweet, and strong. I might try to replicate this one at home!

We had a blast of a day drinking around the world at Epcot, and especially loved being there at Christmas time. All in all, we only spent $122 on our food & drinks at the park (this didn’t include breakfast or dinner). I’d definitely recommend going if you haven’t yet! Cheers!
