Hi I’m Ellie! Lover of quality time with the people I care about, soaking up the sun, being active (bonus if it’s IN the sun), local eateries + happy hours, and my husband, Sam. Exploring all that life has to offer is something I’ve grown to appreciate over the years.
Starting a blog has been a goal of mine for years now. I even created one back in 2019 and had several posts written before I decided against ever publishing them. I’ve recently found this opportunity calling my name yet again, and this time I’ve decided to listen.
- I was born and raised in Louisville, KY and even stayed in town for college at the University of Louisville. I met my husband while we were both in high school, and we got married the year after graduating college.
- Less than a month after our wedding, we made the move to Phoenix, AZ for Sam to attend Midwestern University’s College of Podiatric Medicine.
- During his 4th year of school, his rotations took us month-to-month living in new cities and checking out different Residency programs. Living in new cities for almost a year provided a lot of adventure, stress, excitement, and homesickness all at once!
- Sam landed his 3-year Residency back in our home town of Louisville, where we bought a house and are getting reacquainted with our city and exploring with a new lense.
After all the craziness of the past several years, I’m trying to learn how to slow down, appreciate the steadiness of being settled, and enjoy all that the city of Louisville has to offer. I hope you enjoy following along!
