A Weekend in Nashville, TN

Nashville continues to increase in popularity, and understandably so because it is always a blast! Living in Louisville, Nashville is just a short 3 hour drive and makes for a perfect long weekend. I’ve been able to visit Nashville several times, one of them including my Bachelorette party! I’m combining some of my experiences to create the ultimate girls weekend guide to Nashville!

Stay

There are countless AirBnB rentals near Nashville, and one of these are probably your best bet for where to stay. I’ve stayed in both this one and this one, and enjoyed both. The areas are a bit “up and coming”, but we didn’t have any issues while staying.

It may be worth it to stay near downtown if you plan to mostly be on broadway, since so many of the spots listed here are walkable. I’ve stayed at the Margaritaville and SpringHill Suites Downtown, which has an incredible (though expensive) espresso martini at their top floor bar.

Itinerary

Friday

We opted to stay in on Friday and make cocktails and dinner, which was perfect for our crew after traveling in. But there are plenty of options if you’re looking to go out for dinner (listed in the Saturday section), and you can always end the night on Broadway!

Saturday

Walking/Running around McCabe Golf Course – this was near our rental and the perfect loop for some of us to run and walk for some morning activity. We grabbed coffees at a little local spot called Headquarters afterwards! There was also a cute farmer’s market across the street.

Brunch at Hampton Social – absolutely incredible. Be sure to make a reservation in advance! I believe they open up 90 days in advance. The drinks, food, and atmosphere were all 10/10. They also have a rooftop which is more of a “club” vibe… we stopped in after brunch for a drink and hung out in these cute egg chairs!

A few other amazing brunch options:

Butter Milk Ranch is full of light and greenery, serving up large portion sizes of their fresh and delicious food. The bakery items + strawberry matcha are extraordinary!

The Pancake Pantry is one of Nashville’s most famous spots. I don’t believe they offer reservations, and the line gets extremely long, but the food is pretty darn good.

Five Daughters Bakery is absolutely phenomenal if you’re looking for something less formal/hearty. We got their donuts for the house and I couldn’t stop eating them, even the next day.

Bop around Broadway, Printer’s Alley, or the Gulch. Our group went a few separate ways and each explored what we wanted. Some of us day drank on Broadway (always an option) and explored Printers Alley, others walked around and shopped in The Gulch.

Grab a drink at Pushing Daisies underground cocktail bar (reservation highly recommended) and enjoy dinner at any of these delicious nearby spots:

The Stillery located directly off Broadway, they serve up mason jar cocktails, hot chicken, and skillet mac n cheese to die for!

Assembly Food Hall – perfect for a larger group because of all the options. From tacos, to pizza, to lobster rolls, to banh mi & pho… this place has it all.

Blanco Cocina + Cantina – if you’ve read my Phoenix blog post, you know how much I LOVE this place. Lucky for me, they have a location in Nashville directly on Broadway (and right next to Pushing Daisies).

If you still have energy, consider a burlesque show at Skull’s Rainbow Room! It’s such a fun and unique experience if you’ve never been to one, but also be sure to get tickets in advance.

Sunday

Make a big breakfast at home, then choose your kind of party:

Arrington Vineyards – located about 40 minutes South of Nashville, this is such a cute winery. They have sprawling space with picnic tables, so it’s ideal to visit on a nice day. You can bring your own food and N/A beverages, so we packed a charcuterie board and bought wine flights to accompany!

Rooftop Party Bus – these have grown wildly popular over the years and are an absolute blast. There seem to be a million companies in Nashville alone that offer this, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding availability. Pending your vibe, they have options ranging from a firetruck, to a tractor pull, to a drag show bus.

Still going? Enjoy a fun final night dinner at Barcelona Wine Bar, featuring tapas, charcuterie boards, wines, and cocktails!

Whether it’s a girls weekend, getaway with your partner, or spur of the moment trip, I hope you enjoy your time in Nashville!
